The Seventh Annual Costa Mesa Community Run

      The seventh annual Costa Mesa Community Run will be taking place April 26^th at Fairview Park. On Friday, the day before the 2k, 5k, and 10k race, this event will include lots of fun rides and yummy food for all your family and friends. It is an open event, meaning both competitive and recreational runners are welcomed to participate in the race. Fairview Park is a beautiful place for horseback riding, walking, hiking, running and biking enthusiasts. All our inspiring runners will enjoy the landscape as they make their way to the finish line. The USATF sanctioned event will be giving out special prizes to first place winners. Both male and female winners of the 5 and 10k race will receive a $250 IKEA gift certificate! Second place finishers will be rewarded with a pair of ASICS shoes. Third- place qualifiers will get a $50 card to Dick’s sporting goods and age group winners will receive a $10 from Dick’s sporting goods. No one gets left out of special gifts either. Everyone will go home with a “tech fit” t-shirt and a goodie bag. If you are interested in racing at the Community Run, you can get your early packet pick-up on Friday, April 25^th, 5-8 p.m. at Estancia High School. The regular race day packet pick-up is April 26^th, 6:30 a.m. The Kiwanis Club in Costa Mesa will serve the pancake breakfast at 7 a.m. The 5 and 10k races start at 8 a.m. and the 2k starts at 9 a.m. This entire event helps our Public Schools, so be sure to go out have fun and support our youth!
