The Costa Mesa real estate market for Spring 2012 is in bloom - with buyers that is. So far this year the number of homes for sale has been at a low. The result, buyers are eagerly waiting for homes to hit the market so that they can have their chance to buy while rates are low. Currently, there are only 112 Costa Mesa homes for sale and classified as “active” in the SoCal Multiple Listing Service. 

To give you an idea of the limited “active” inventory, here are some statistics by neighborhood:

 -Only 14 Mesa Verde homes are available (The normal is about 40 homes!) -There are only 2 homes available in the Halecrest/Hall of Fame neighborhood -There are only 8 homes available in the Mesa North neighborhood -There are only 4 homes available in the South Coast Metro areas known as the Flower Streets, Mesa Woods and Providence Ranch -Only 2 homes are available in Mesa Del Mar -Only 2 homes are available in College Park -Only 17 Westside homes are available -Only 37 Eastside homes are available Another Thing To Consider: So far, 14 homes that were listed since the start of 2012 have closed escrow. The average days on the market for these homes was just 41 days.  There are also 42 other homes that are in escrow and were listed after January 1, 2012. Imagine how much exposure these home sellers are getting – just by being a viable option for house hunters!
