The Mesa Del Mar neighborhood was established between 1961 and 1964 is made up of approximately 850 homes. The boundaries of this quiet neighborhood are south of Baker and north of Tewinkle Park, between Fairview and the 55 freeway.

Many Mesa Del Mar homes are great for “starter” homes, first-time buyers, families, and people looking for one-story homes with very open floor plans. The smaller one-stories range from 1,300 sq ft to 1,800 sq ft and are made up of 3 to 4 bedrooms with kitchen and family room areas. The houses were built with fireplaces in the living areas on slab construction.

There are a variety of programs and activities available for the students to enrich their educational experience. The first magnet school in the school district is also located here, Davis Magnet School, and this school places an emphasis on science, math, and technology. In Mesa Del Mar there is no homeowner’s association, however there is a very active volunteer neighborhood association, The Mesa Del Mar Homeowners Association. Homeowners are welcome to join this association which has a strong presence at city events.
