Ways to Impress Buyers
Listing your home is not the first step of selling your home. There is often a lot of work that goes in before it can even be listed. However, there is often not enough time to do all of the things that you need to do in order to sell your home for top dollar. Fortunately, there are some things that can pay off a lot more than others.
Clear the Clutter
This is the best way to not only ready yourself to eventually move, but to peak the interest of potential buyers. Clutter is a distraction, and it also lowers the likelihood of selling your home. Make it a goal to comb through every nook and cranny of your home and do away with items that you no longer need. Additionally, you may consider packing away items if you are not ready to part with them. You will want to create a blank slate so it is easy for potential buyers to imagine their own belongings in your home.
Be Available
Buyers can and will request to show up at your doorstep at a moment's notice. Attempting to reschedule because you don't feel like leaving your house at a moment's notice or because you have to clean up first is not a great idea. Buyers will oftentimes just go on to the next one which may equate to a missed opportunity for your. Have your home in condition to show at all times and have a place nearby that you can go on a moment's notice to kill time. It may be a major inconvenience but it will be well worth it when you sell your home in a couple of days versus a couple of weeks.
