CMPD FRONT DESK NOW OPEN 8 – 7, SPECIALISTS WILL BE TAKING CRIME REPORTS WHEN THERE IS NO SUSPECT AT THE SCENEBeginning Monday, October 24, 2011, the Costa Mesa Police Department will be extending its front desk business hours to Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 7:00 pm. Citizens who normally work during the hour of 8-5 will now have the opportunity to handle police related matters at the front desk without taking time off work. In addition to the increased front desk hours, the Police Department is reinstating civilian report writers in the field to assist with the handling of traffic collision and/or crime reports. These services are possible through the rehiring of three Community Service Specialists. DETAILS OF SENIOR CENTER SCAMMy name is Darryl Kim and I am the Program Director at the Costa Mesa Senior Center. It has been brought to my attention that there is a group of people calling representing themselves as staff from the Costa Mesa Senior Center and asking for donations via their bank account. This is a SCAM. The Senior Center does not ask for any banking information.
