Toy Drive and Food Drive at Snow Land on December 11

The Gift of GivingThe holiday season is all about giving back and this year at Snow Land on Saturday, December 11, we're encouraging everyone to help give what they can to help others in need.Toys for Tots We are teaming up with the Costa Mesa Fire Department, U S Marines, St Vincent De Paul and OC Social Services and asking those who can to bring a toy to donate to Toys for Tots.Costa Mesa Self Storage will also be on hand to help store the toy donations. The Toys for Tots drive is looking for:Unwrapped toys. Right now toys for boys and girls are needed and all ages. The highest demand items are those for pre school age, girls 9-13 years and teens 14-17 years.Share Our Selves Food DriveShare Our Selves is creating holiday food baskets for struggling families from Costa Mesa and Santa Ana public schools. If you bring any of the following to our event (or to our office prior to December 11), we will make sure that the organization gets it so they can distribute them to the families.Canned goods (corn, green beans, potatoes, cranberries, gravy)Dry goods (rice, beans, oatmeal, stuffing)Desserts (cookies, chocolate, candy, nuts, holiday pies)Produce (onions, celery, carrots, potatoes, apples, oranges)Gift cards to Ralphs, Food for Less, Stater Bros.Isn't it better to give than to receive?
