Torelli's Great Pumpkin History

It's almost that time of the year when we get together for some spooky festivities. Torelli Realty is excited to keep up with our hallowed history to bring yet another community pumpkin patch! We started this tradition in 1984 by passing out pumpkins to each and every home's doorstep throughout Mesa Verde. Everyone seemed to love having their doorbell rung to be greeted by a "Happy Halloween!" from a truck full of kids delivering a pumpkin. It would take days to deliver over 3,000 pumpkins to each home! The fun continued until the 2004 grocery strike; that year we donated the money we would've spent on the famous squash to local schools instead. One very grateful PTA president suggested that we hold an event where our neighbors could come to us. Thus, the Torelli Pumpkin Patch was born. Our event has been going for 11 years strong and has grown from 50 to over 500 showing up in our parking lot at the corner of Mesa Verde & Adams to join the fun. Everyone attending gets a pumpkin to decorate with stickers & paint along with a pie eating contest that will make for a great video memory for parents and their children. We'll also be hosting a petting zoo, pony rides, and a bounce house. New this year, we'll be holding costume contests for children 6 and under and another for ages 7-12! This year's event is set for October 29th from 5 to 7 P.M. All this is free & we encourage you to stop by the concession stands where all proceeds will go to support local schools.
