Sonora Elementary School Green Team Rally Results

Costa Mesa Schools Are Going Green!Congrats to the efforts of the newly formed Sonora Elementary School Green Team. With Ginger Castillo at the helm, the new team has over 50 members. We recently helped Sonora School kick off a recycling rally to help increase awareness about recycling and to help them raise a little money as well. Congratulations are in order because Sonora rocked! The results are in:They raised a total of $349.92 in one weekThey recycled 5,577 beverage containers in one week!Thank you so much to our friend "Recycle Mike" at Orange Coast College. He runs the center there and helped the school with their presentation and efforts.What other schools would like to have a presentation and rally and be green? Let us know and we'll set it up! We're thrilled to see our youth learning the important of sustainability and caring about the environment they call home.
