Snow Land Success!

Thank you to everyone who made Snow Land 2010 a huge success! 40 TONS of snow blanketed the Balearic Park playground area for groups of kids to make snowballs in and run around in.A hay wagon pulled by 2 gorgeous horses paraded plenty of happy passengers around the soccer fields jingling all the way. Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus made it safely down from the North Pole by fire truck and took hundreds of photos with the children.Nearly 1,000 cookies were decorated and enjoyed by the guests. A bounce house obstacle course entertained hundreds of kids. Hundreds of toys were collected for Toys for Tots and a room full of canned goods was brought in for the Share Our Selves Food Drive. If that isn't a success, what is?Why No Hill? Where's the Chopper? Many of you asked about the snow hill and the helicopter arrival of Santa Claus. Unfortunately in year's past the City of Costa Mesa hosted this event in conjunction with Torelli Realty. Due to budget cuts, they were unable to chip in this year. We were determined to pull off the event on our own because it is something everyone looks forward to and is great fun. However without the support of the city and all the manpower needed to operate the hill we had to make some changes this year. Hopefully in the future the City will be able to join in again and we can plan on calling it Snow Hill once again.Thank You's...
