ROCKS – Save Costa Mesa’s After School Program

Kudos to Costa Mesa Councilwoman Katrina Foley for planning a Swingathon to raise money to save the ROCKS after school programs in Costa Mesa. On  June 9, volunteers will take to the swingsets and swing away in an attempt to raise $2000 each. The money will help 11 Costa Mesa schools with their after school programs. By planning events like this, it's no wonder that Katrina was named 2010 Citizen of the Year by OCC.Read about the Swingathon for the Newport-Mesa Unified School District here. More volunteers are needed to help raise the much needed funds. Over the next couple of weeks all the swinging volunteers will be looking for people to sponsor them so please make an effort to help - all donations, big or small will help.
