Detroit Bar becomes The Wayfarer!

Detroit Bar will be discontinuing at the end of February due to a change in ownership. Jeff Chon, a Newport Beach restaurant owner, has purchased the iconic Costa Mesa music venue with plans to transform the restaurant into a gastropub named the Wayfarer.

 Detroit’s musical attraction was undoubtedly a wonderful contribution to Our City over the years, however, the entertainment industry never ceases to evolve. Do not worry folks; the new incoming restaurant is supposedly going to continue to book live shows! With competition from live music locations like The Observatory in Santa Ana, the bar is in need of sprucing things up a bit. Luckily Chon is the perfect man for the job. Get ready Costa Mesa for the bar and nightclub scene to undergo an improvement. We are excited to see how the Wayfarer turns out!
