Costa Mesa summer movies are back at Segerstrom Center for the Arts (formerly called the Orange County Performing Arts Center). The schedule is as follows:July 11 - Beach Blanket BingoJuly 18 – Harold and MaudeJuly 25 – Victor/VictoriaAugust 1 - ChicagoAugust 8 – The King and IMoviegoers are able to assemble their seating area as early as 5:30pm and the movies start around dusk (8pm). Costa Mesa is often called the "City of the Arts" because it is home to so many arts venues like Segerstrom Center for the Arts, Orange County Museum of Art, South Coast Repertory, and more. It is fitting that the center would host a movie night and it is one of the events that Costa Mesa residents look forward to attending each summer. Summer is wonderful in Costa Mesa with activities like free movies and free music for the community. Last year the summer movies attracted a crowd of nearly 3,000 people! Moviegoers are able to take over the huge square and the public is encouraged to bring lounge chairs to set up camp and watch the movie, which is projected on the side of Segerstrom Hall. Bring your picnic basket! Patina Catering will also have assorted snacks and beverages available for purchase. What do you think of the summer movies? Make sure to comment below.
