Costa Mesa is often called the "City of the Arts" because it is home to so many arts venues like OCPAC, Orange County Museum of Art, South Coast Repertory, and more. It is fitting that OCPAC would host a movie night and it is one of the events that Costa Mesa residents look forward to attending each summer. Summer is wonderful in Costa Mesa and with activities like free movies and free music the community has an opportunity to represent its entertainment. Last year the summer movies attracted a crowd of nearly 3,000 people. Moviegoers are able to take over the huge square and the public is encouraged to bring lounge chairs to set up camp and watch the movie, which is projected on the side of Segerstrom Hall. The movies reflect the image of the town motto “City of the Arts.” Costa Mesa, it’s such a great place to live and visit. What do you think of the summer movies? Make sure to comment below.
