 The listing price is just a starting point. In general, the listing prices tend to be more desirable than the price of a regular sale due to 2 things: 1. To stimulate a buyer to make an offer because one is needed to get the short sale process started. In an effort to get an offer quickly, some list prices are “too good to be true.” This pricing strategy is often used to encourage a bidding war and drive the price up, quite simply the result of supply and demand.
