Impressed By “Canstruction”
Say Costa Mesa and most people think of South Coast Plaza (SCP), one of southern California’s largest malls. Nothing makes the Realtor in me happier than to hear about SCP helping the community. A strong community encourages a healthy real estate market. Costa Mesa’s Torelli Realty wants to let everyone know about the “Canstruction” competition being held at SCP right now.Costa Mesa’s South Coast Plaza displays sculptures each year that are made out of canned goods by local engineers and architects. A lot of creativity goes into the displays and this year viewers will have the chance to see a stiletto and banana split made out of cans! Over 46,000 pounds of food went into the competition and at the end it will all get donated to the Orange County Food Bank.On September 13 the Costa Mesa shopping center will award winners for their hard work and creativity. Hurry up and take a look – the sculptures will come down head over to the Orange County Food Bank on September 27. And here’s a hot tip for all those shoppers headed to Costa Mesa – offer up your own canned food donation and take a free ride on the carousel!Read more inThe Orange County Register's article about “Canstruction."*Costa Mesa has a lot of great homes and neighborhoods near South Coast Plaza that are highly sought after.
