COSTA MESA NATIONAL NIGHT OUT The Costa Mesa Police Department is holding National Night Out on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 from 5:30-8pm. What is National Night Out? It’s a way to make the community more aware of ways to stay safe and how to avoid and prevent crime and drug activity. National Night Out is a way for the community to show support for the local police force.DETAILS AREA 1:In Area 1, the communities include the 700 block of Shalimar, 800 block of Center Street, 2200 block of Fountain Way East, 1700 block of Santa Ana, 400 block of W. Bay Street, 2100 block of Federal, 1800 block of Whittier, and the 900 block of W. 17 th Street.
