Costa Mesa Coffee Shop Competes This Weekend!

Something is in the air and it smells like fresh brewed coffee! Andrew Ogden, member of the Orange County based Portola Coffee Lab, competes this weekend in what is being referred to as “The Barista Olympics." All participants will make three cups of joe for a panel within 15 minutes. These include an espresso, a cappuccino, and a customized signature drink. The event is held this Saturday in Los Angeles. Portola has even organized a bus ride for anyone wanting to cheer on the skilled competitors. The $20 ticket includes bus fare, all-you-can-drink-coffee, a $5 Portola gift card and a “Team Portola” sticker.
