Blaze in Costa Mesa displaces 4 Residents of Our City
A fire on Monday at a residence on Sandi Lane, a small cul-de-sac off of Canyon Drive near Victoria Street, displaced 4 Costa Mesa Residents from their homes. The fire started in the attached garage of one unit, and spread to the second story, causing severe smoke and fire damage. A second unit was dameged less severely. As a result, two residents from each unit were displaced. Total damage is estimated around $250,000.Fortunately, Our City's finest were able to take control of the blaze within 25 minutes of arriving on the scene. Due to the quick response and action of the Costa Mesa Fire Department, no other units were harmed. Thankfully, there were no injuries, however, one of Our City's finest was hospitalized as a precaution.
