18 Holes of the “South Pacific” at the Mesa Verde Classic Charity Golf Tournament

Aloha Orange County! The 8th annual Mesa Verde Classic Charity Golf Tournament is right around the corner and this year, its going “South Pacific” style. On Mon. Jan 21, the only tournament where each hole “is an event within an event” will bring the islands of the South Pacific to Mesa Verde Country Club in Costa Mesa, with each stop lined up with food, drinks and activities you wouldn’t normally find on a golf course, but instead expect on a tropical vacation. From colorful parrots to Tahitian dancers and custom rolled cigars, attendees are in for a real retreat. We are excited to have our very own Valerie Torelli serve on the event committee as Hole Theme Manager, spearheading these creative efforts. Torelli Realty will be sponsoring Hole 17 again this year and designed a unique experience that we hope just might knock some hula skirts off along the way.Our hole, The Cook Islands Hole, will feature a martini bar and the famous In-N-Out Burger truck serving bites and refreshments. Some of our staff will also be there shaking up cocktails while dressed in proper tropical attire.Along with our stop on the tournament, we’ve highlighted a few other destinations on the map that participants can get excited about, whether or not they score a hole-in-one. Each hole is sponsored by a local business and proceeds will go to support Costa Mesa United a not-for-profit youth sports organization.• The Manihi Hole: At this hole, golfers will be distracted by native island dancers and a thrill-seeking performance with fire and knives.• The Fiji Hole: Prepare to be serenaded with steel drums playing in the background while being served up sausage bites, apple martinis and cranberry vodka.• The Bora Bora Hole: Here, golfers will have the opportunity to watch and enjoy an authentic cigar roller make fresh cigars on-site, all while enjoying specialty drinks from Greenleaf Gourmet Chophouse. Watch out for the surprise gorilla too! (Really!)• The Easter Island Hole: Attendees will enjoy a variety of sweets at "The Sugar Shack" as they work on their primal “I scream for ice cream” screams, bask in the sweet deliciousness of Nothing Bundt Cakes and show off their tribal spirit with tattoos.• The Tonga Hole: Golfers will be greeted by the soothing harmony of a traditional Ukulele/To'ere Drum/Guitar artist and dancer.• The Rimatara Hole: If participants aren’t scared, they will have the chance to pose with a primal boa snake, one of the most distinctive of all reptiles.• The Ancient Hawaiian Hole: The final hole will offer golfers the chance to win $25,000 in a hole-in-one event. The tournament is sold out, but if you would like more information or to donate, please visit: http://mesaverdeclassic.golfreg.com/ng/index.cfm/b2292a6/regPages/pages/?p=111784
