Costa Mesa Shoe Drive for Haiti Earthquake

The devastating earthquake that struck in Haiti on January 12 has left thousands in need of help.  Sports retailer Sports Chalet announced that it plans to team up with the organization Soles4Souls to collect gently worn shoes for the victims in Haiti.One of our agents, Louise Fiduccia, heard about the efforts and felt compelled to help make a difference.  She has a niece in Haiti, who thankfully is safe, but so many others are suffering.  Following the example of the real estate group Long Beach Broker Preview Meeting (LBBPM), Louise is supporting Sports Chalet’s shoe drive by spreading the word to Costa Mesa and offering easy drop-off points for donated shoes.WHERE TO BRING THE SHOES:Louise is setting up a shoe donation box at Torelli Realty, which is centrally located in Costa Mesa at 2845 Mesa Verde Drive East, and encouraging the public to bring shoes for men, women and children. Louise will transport the shoes to the Costa Mesa Sports Chalet so that Soles4Souls can distribute them to those in need.  Please note that children’s shoes would be greatly appreciated.  The shoe drive ends on January 31.  All Sports Chalet locations will be accepting donations until that time.Louise Fiduccia is a great role model and we are thankful for the compassion and dedication she has to help the people in Haiti.  In fact, she even spent this weekend going door to door in her Mesa Verde neighborhood collecting donations with her wagon.  Please sort through your shoes and see if you have anything you can give away to help others who are in dire need. We ask you to bring them to Torelli Realty before January 31 or you can drop them off directly at any Sports Chalet location.
