Leadership Tomorrow Celebrates Community Leaders

Winston Churchill said, “The price of greatness is responsibility.” That’s just the sentiment of the non-profit Leadership Tomorrow. The organization joins local leaders and experts in the communities of Costa Mesa, Newport Beach, and Irvine in addressing community issues. On February 4, 2010, the group will honor outstanding community leaders during the “Celebrating Leadership” reception at The Costa Mesa Country Club. We’re honored that Leadership Tomorrow has recognized our very own leader, Valerie Torelli, for her involvement in Costa Mesa.Picture of Leadership Tomorrow logoLeadership Tomorrow is supported by the Costa Mesa Chamber of Commerce, Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce, Irvine Chamber of Commerce, and other community-minded organizations. Basically, the group supports local leaders who help guide and strengthen their communities. Valerie Torelli makes an effort to provide worthwhile events for the community like Snow Land and a yearly Easter egg hunt, as well as sponsors local groups such as the Estancia High School Cheer Squad and the Costa Mesa Community Athletic Foundation. This year’s “Celebrating Leadership” reception will feature guest speaker Steve Becker, who is the VP of Human Resources for Golden State Foods and the Board President of the Orange County Ronald McDonald House. Irvine Police Department Chief David L. Maggard, Jr. will be presented with The Outstanding Community Leadership Award and Cindy Brenneman from the Leadership Tomorrow Class of 2002 will receive The Excellence in Leadership Award.Wonderful leaders are making great impacts in our towns. In the true spirit of Churchill’s quote, those with power and influence have responsibilities to fulfill. Civic duty calls and great people in our communities are answering.
